Terms

Last updated 5 November 2026

These are the rules for using m4a1.wtf. The short version: it is a free service for link pages, you keep what you make, you take responsibility for what you put on your page, and we remove things that break the rules and tell you why.

What m4a1.wtf is

m4a1.wtf lets you make a public page at m4a1.wtf/yourhandle with a profile, links, music, badges and cards for your Roblox, Discord and TikTok accounts. It is published under the name Asta and run by a private person, Nick Stahl, named in the imprint. There is no company behind it. It costs nothing, and no money is taken at any point.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian knows that you use the service and agrees to it.
  • Give correct details, use one account for yourself, and keep your password and sign-in methods to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • Your handle is the address of your page. Some handles are reserved and cannot be taken. Extra handles and custom domains are given out by the team to individual accounts, and you may only connect a domain that you control.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings. You can download your data there too.

Your content

Everything you add to your page is your content: text, pictures, videos, music, lyrics, links, pictures on links, custom badge pictures, backgrounds, presets and cursors. It stays yours.

To run the service you give us a non-exclusive right to store your content, copy it, resize or convert it where needed, and show it publicly in the way your settings say. The right ends when you remove the content or delete your account, apart from backups and copies that are deleted soon after.

You promise that you may use what you upload. That includes music, lyrics, images and video you did not make yourself. If someone else holds the rights, you need their permission. Only you are responsible for your content, and you have to clear up any claim that comes from it.

What is not allowed

  • Content that is illegal in Germany or the EU, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, incitement to hatred or violence, threats, and content that breaks someone's copyright or personality rights.
  • Harassment, stalking, doxxing, and publishing other people's private data (addresses, phone numbers, IDs, private messages) without their consent.
  • Pretending to be someone else, including the team, or using badges, names and colours to look like staff.
  • Links or files that carry malware, phishing, scams or deceptive downloads.
  • Pornography and sexually explicit content. Pages are public and are not age gated.
  • Spam, fake accounts, buying or faking views, and any method that inflates the view counter, the leaderboard or badges.
  • Attacking or overloading the service, scanning it for weaknesses without permission, scraping it in bulk, or getting around limits or restrictions that were placed on you.

Cards for Roblox, Discord and TikTok

Cards show public information from those services. We load it on our servers and copy images into our own storage, so your visitors do not contact those services. A Roblox card only appears after you prove the account is yours. A Discord card shows a server's public invite information. A TikTok card shows public information from a TikTok page and cannot confirm that the account is yours, so only add your own. Roblox, Discord and TikTok are not connected to m4a1.wtf, and their names, logos and marks belong to them.

Reports and how we enforce the rules

Anyone can report a page with the "Report this page" button or by email to [email protected]. A report should say why the content is illegal or against the rules, where exactly it is (the address), who is reporting (name and email) and that the reporter believes the information is correct. We confirm that we got it and tell the reporter what we decided and how to contest it. People, not programs, decide about reports and accounts.

Some things run automatically: limits on how often something can be called, filters that keep bots out of the view counter, and the breach check for passwords. None of these decide that your account is restricted.

We use four steps, and we pick the mildest that fits:

  • Warning. Nothing is restricted. You read it and confirm.
  • Suspension. You cannot sign in for a set time between 1 and 365 days.
  • Ban. No end date. You can send one appeal.
  • Termination. For the most serious cases and for repeated breaches. It is final, the account cannot come back, and the sign-in method that was used cannot register again.

We can also take down a single piece of content or a whole page. When we restrict content or an account, we tell you what we did, why (the facts, whether a report led to it, whether anything automatic was involved, and the rule or law behind it), how long it lasts, and how you can contest it. We apply the rules carefully and fairly and weigh your freedom of expression and other fundamental rights against the interests of the people affected.

To contest a decision, use the appeal on the page you see when you try to sign in (one appeal per case, 10 to 1500 characters), or write to [email protected]. We aim to answer within two weeks. A termination cannot be appealed on the site, but you can still write to us. You can always go to a court or to a data protection or consumer authority.

Where the law requires it, we tell the authorities about content that points to a serious crime, and we hand over data when a lawful order requires it.

Availability

m4a1.wtf is free and run by one person on their own hardware. It comes as it is. It can be slow or offline, and features can change or go away. We try to keep your data safe, but you should keep copies of what matters to you. The data download in Settings is there for that.

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account. We can end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we close the service. If we close the service, we announce it beforehand and give you time to download your data.

Liability

Because the service is free, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for injury to life, body or health, liability under the Product Liability Act, and liability that cannot be excluded by law stay as the law sets them. Where we breach a duty that is essential to the contract through slight negligence, our liability is limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for a service like this. We are not responsible for content that users publish, or for sites that pages link to.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms, for example when features change or the law changes. We announce important changes in the dashboard at least 14 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then. If a change makes your position worse, we need your agreement to apply it to you, unless the law allows it without.

Law and courts

German law applies, without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory rules of your own country of residence stay in place for you. We do not take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board.

If one part of these terms is not valid, the rest stays valid.
